Position Description

Title: Variable Simulation Analysis (VSA) Engineer

Reports to: Product Engineering Manager

Functional Manager: NAO Product Specialist

Description:

The Variable Simulation Analysis Engineer is responsible for :

  • Develop procedures and documentation for implementation of VSA in FECT NAO

  • Conduct Variable Simulation Analysis design and process variation – on FECT related components and assemblies

  • Create reports with results from analysis

  • Recommend changes to product design and manufacturing processes to reduce variation

  • Maintain models and record of analysis within specified Documentation Retention Procedure

  • Coordinate multiple projects with analysis, design, and manufacturing input

  • Interface with Product and Process Specialists/Experts, PDL, PML and Manufacturing

  • Assist in maintaining group activities by mentoring, coaching and training employees

  • Facilitate the deployment of Analysis Led Design (ALD).

  • Contribute to team efforts by accomplishing related results as needed.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will have/be:

Master's degree in engineering with strong competencies in Product Design / Manufacturing

Strong understanding of GDT and mechanical print reading

Experience in Catia V5

Experience in Design & Development within an automotive industry

Knowledge in Variable Simulation Analysis

Understanding of primary manufacturing methods and processing (tube and sheet metal forming, welding, product assembly, tool design)

Minimum bi-lingual (English required) and international mindset

Team player with strong communication skills, ability to work in a matrix organization

Entrepreneurial work ethic

Ability to structure and capitalize know-how
