I. JOB DETAILS
Job Title
Medical Transcription Discharge
Reporting Supervisor
Deputy Medical Superintendent
II. JOB PURPOSE
To assist doctors in performing Health Summary.
III. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Core Responsibilities
- Type Health Summary.
- Type all types of medical certificates.
- Take active part in departmental quality initiatives.
- To help IT Team for upgradation in HIS.
- To organize smooth dispatch of reports before scheduled time.
- Improve compilation and distribution of Health Summary and PHP reports.
- To observe and respect the privacy and confidentiality of patients, visitors and physicians.
- To ensure minimal wastage of items.
- Emergency on call during and after working hours.
- Maintenance and upkeep of all related documents of the department used in PHP Health Summary.
- To ensure minimal wastage of Letterhead and keep all reports in HIS / Microsoft word, of examination.
- To attend to emergency / urgent report during and after working hours.
IV. KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS
Measurable Deliverables
- Timely delivery of report.
- Ensure Zero typing error.
- Ensures minimum wastage of papers and letterheads.
- Cost effective and smooth functioning of the department.
V. JOB REQUIREMENTS
Minimum Qualifications
- Graduate (preferably with Diploma in Computer Application and Programming / Diploma or Certification as Medical Transcriptionist)
Experience
Preferably with 1 to 3 years' experience in a high volume institute.
Behavioural Skills
- Communication skills.
- The role required to do shift duties including night shifts and emergency duties on call as per monthly planned roaster.
Technical Skills
- Well versed with modalities of typing equipment.
- Knowledge of Medial Terms and Anatomical vocabulary.
- Well versed with Computer knowledge and HIS.
- Good knowledge of machine upkeep and inventory management.
Language Skills
English & Hindi
