I. JOB DETAILS

Job Title

Medical Transcription Discharge

Deputy Medical Superintendent

II. JOB PURPOSE

To assist doctors in performing Health Summary.

III. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Core Responsibilities

  • Type Health Summary.
  • Type all types of medical certificates.
  • Take active part in departmental quality initiatives.
  • To help IT Team for upgradation in HIS.
  • To organize smooth dispatch of reports before scheduled time.
  • Improve compilation and distribution of Health Summary and PHP reports.
  • To observe and respect the privacy and confidentiality of patients, visitors and physicians.
  • To ensure minimal wastage of items.
  • Emergency on call during and after working hours.
  • Maintenance and upkeep of all related documents of the department used in PHP Health Summary.
  • To ensure minimal wastage of Letterhead and keep all reports in HIS / Microsoft word, of examination.
  • To attend to emergency / urgent report during and after working hours.

IV. KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS

Measurable Deliverables

  • Timely delivery of report.
  • Ensure Zero typing error.
  • Ensures minimum wastage of papers and letterheads.
  • Cost effective and smooth functioning of the department.

V. JOB REQUIREMENTS

Minimum Qualifications

  • Graduate (preferably with Diploma in Computer Application and Programming / Diploma or Certification as Medical Transcriptionist)

Experience

Preferably with 1 to 3 years' experience in a high volume institute.

Behavioural Skills

  • Communication skills.
  • The role required to do shift duties including night shifts and emergency duties on call as per monthly planned roaster.

Technical Skills

  • Well versed with modalities of typing equipment.
  • Knowledge of Medial Terms and Anatomical vocabulary.
  • Well versed with Computer knowledge and HIS.
  • Good knowledge of machine upkeep and inventory management.

Language Skills

English & Hindi
