Company Overview

Enterone is seeking a highly skilled Data Center Subject Matter Expert specializing in Cisco Application Centric Infrastructure (ACI) to join our technical operations team in Mumbai, India.

Position Summary

We are looking for an experienced
Cisco ACI L3 Engineer
to lead the design, deployment, and operational support of enterprise-scale ACI fabrics. This role demands deep technical expertise in multi-datacenter network architectures, including Multi-Pod and Multi-Site deployments, along with advanced Layer-3 networking capabilities. The ideal candidate will serve as a subject matter expert, driving infrastructure excellence while supporting critical production environments.

Key Responsibilities

ACI Fabric Management

• Design, deploy, configure, and maintain Cisco ACI fabrics across single pod, Multi-Pod, and Multi-Site architectures
• Implement and manage ACI constructs including tenants, application profiles, bridge domains, VRFs, Endpoint Groups (EPGs), and contracts
• Configure and optimize fabric policies, access policies, and security policies within APIC (Application Policy Infrastructure Controller)

Layer-3 Network Services

• Design and implement L3Out configurations for external network connectivity
• Configure and troubleshoot dynamic routing protocols including BGP and OSPF within ACI environments
• Manage route leaking, route maps, and policy-based routing across VRF boundaries
• Implement and support VXLAN/EVPN overlay technologies

Multi-Site Orchestration

• Operate and maintain Cisco Nexus Dashboard Orchestrator (NDO) for multi-fabric policy orchestration and automation
• Design stretched network services across geographically distributed data centers
• Manage inter-site connectivity, site-to-site routing, and disaster recovery configurations

Operations & Support

• Provide Level 3 technical support for incidents, outages, and performance degradation issues
• Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) for complex underlay and overlay network problems
• Monitor fabric health using APIC dashboards, syslog, SNMP, and streaming telemetry
• Execute planned maintenance windows including ACI/APIC upgrades and patch management

Automation & Continuous Improvement

• Develop automation scripts using Python, Ansible, or XML/JSON APIs to streamline operations
• Implement Infrastructure-as-Code practices for ACI configuration management
• Conduct regular health checks, capacity planning, and performance optimization reviews

Documentation & Governance

• Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation including network diagrams, runbooks, and standard operating procedures (SOPs)
• Support change management processes and ensure compliance with ITIL best practices
• Participate in design reviews, architecture discussions, and technical knowledge sharing sessions

Required Qualifications

Experience

• 3–5+ years
  of hands-on experience with Cisco ACI and Nexus 9000 series switches in production environments
• Proven track record of managing large-scale data center networks with 24/7 uptime requirements
• Experience with Multi-Pod and Multi-Site ACI deployments

Technical Skills

• Expert-level knowledge
  of:
• Cisco APIC GUI and CLI operations
• Nexus Dashboard Orchestrator (NDO) / Multi-Site Orchestrator (MSO)
• ACI fabric initialization, discovery, and topology management
• Tenant networking: VRFs, bridge domains, EPGs, contracts, filters
• L3Out configurations with BGP and OSPF
• VXLAN and EVPN control/data plane operations
• Strong troubleshooting skills
  in:
• ACI underlay (IS-IS, MP-BGP) and overlay (VXLAN) issues
• Endpoint learning, policy resolution, and forwarding behavior
• Fabric interconnect and inter-pod/inter-site connectivity
• Performance bottlenecks and packet flow analysis
• Automation capabilities
  :
• Scripting with Python (preferred) or other languages
• Configuration management using Ansible
• RESTful API interaction with ACI (XML/JSON)
• Version control systems (Git)

Certifications (Preferred)

• Cisco Certified Network Professional Data Center (
  CCNP Data Center
  )
• Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert Data Center (
  CCIE Data Center
  ) – highly desirable
• Cisco ACI specialization certifications

Additional Requirements

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, mission-critical environment
• Experience with ITIL processes and change management
• Willingness to participate in on-call rotation and after-hours maintenance windows

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Cisco Nexus Dashboard Insights (NDI) for analytics and troubleshooting
• Knowledge of data center security technologies (firewalls, load balancers, microsegmentation)
• Familiarity with VMware NSX, SD-WAN, or other data center technologies
• Experience with monitoring and observability tools (Splunk, ELK, Grafana, Prometheus)
• Understanding of DevOps/NetOps methodologies
