Responsibilities

• Understand US/UK pension systems, including IRS regulations and pension operations.
• Process, validate, and update data in actuarial and financial models.
• Prepare and analyze actuarial reports for pension clients and share insights with internal checkers.
• Liaise with onshore consultants for data, model clarifications, and project updates.
• Execute pension benefit calculations and valuation reports with accuracy and compliance.

Key Areas of Expertise (for 15 years experienced candidates) Actuarial Ancillary Services:

• AFTAP & Annual Valuation Report preparation
• PBGC government filings
• Annual Funding Notice and IRS Form 5500 (signature-ready)
• FASB / ASC 715 reporting
• IAS 19R / US GAAP disclosures
• OPEB / PRM plans knowledge (preferred)

Other Special Services:

• TV / Retiree cash out calculations
• Age 70 minimum distribution requests
• Special accounting calculations

Requirements

• Masters degree in Actuarial Sciences or a related quantitative field.
• Sound knowledge of actuarial principles and pension regulations (US/UK).
• 15 years of experience in pension actuarial services, ideally in ancillary services.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate across teams.
• Demonstrated progress in actuarial exams is required.

Technical Skills

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and data interpretation abilities.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Familiarity with actuarial tools such as Relius and ProVal (for experienced candidates).
• Good understanding of statistical and mathematical modeling.
