Senior Pharmacist

Role & responsibilities

• Supervise daily pharmacy operations and staff.
• Ensure accurate dispensing of medicines as per prescriptions.
• Maintain inventory, check stock levels, and manage expiries.
• Monitor adherence to drug storage standards and regulatory guidelines.
• Coordinate with doctors and nursing teams for medication-related queries.
• Maintain documentation, billing accuracy, and audit readiness.
• Train and guide junior pharmacists and pharmacy assistants.

Preferred candidate profile

• Must have 2-7 years of experience in a hospital pharmacy setup.
• Strong knowledge of drug dispensing, dosage calculations, and medication safety.
• Experience in inventory control, expiry management, and cold-chain handling.
• Familiar with hospital pharmacy software / billing systems.
• Good understanding of NABH guidelines related to pharmacy.
• Excellent communication and coordination skills with doctors & nursing staff.
• Ability to train, guide, and supervise junior pharmacy staff.
