Job Summary The Dialysis Technician is responsible for providing safe, effective, and compassionate dialysis treatment to patients with renal failure. 2. Key Responsibilities A. Patient Care- Prepare patients for dialysis treatment.- Obtain and record vital signs.- Monitor patients and identify complications.- Provide basic patient education. B. Dialysis Procedure Management- Set up and operate dialysis machines.- Cannulate AV fistula/graft or manage catheters.- Monitor dialysis parameters.- Terminate dialysis safely. C. Equipment & Machine Maintenance- Perform routine maintenance.- Disinfect machines and equipment.- Monitor RO water system. D. Infection Control & Safety- Follow aseptic techniques.- Handle biomedical waste properly.- Maintain a safe environment. E. Documentation & Reporting- Maintain treatment and machine logs.- Report abnormalities.- Assist in reports and audits. 3. Qualifications & Experience- Diploma/B.Sc. in Dialysis Technology.- 1–3 years of experience preferred. 4. Skills & Competencies- Dialysis principles knowledge.- Cannulation skills.- Emergency handling.- Documentation accuracy.- Communication skills. 5. Physical Requirements- Ability to stand long hours.- Ability to move equipment. 6. Work Environment- Fast-paced clinical setting.- Rotational shifts.- Clinical exposure with safety compliance
