Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Cyber Security Engineer to join our team. The candidate will be responsible for protecting the organization's computer systems, networks, and data from cyber threats. This role involves implementing security measures, monitoring systems for vulnerabilities, responding to incidents, and ensuring compliance with security policies and standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, and manage security tools, systems, and processes to protect IT infrastructure.
  • Monitor and analyze network traffic, logs, and alerts to detect potential threats.
  • Conduct vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, and risk analysis.
  • Develop and enforce security policies, procedures, and standards.
  • Investigate and respond to security incidents and breaches.
  • Collaborate with IT and development teams to integrate security practices in projects.
  • Manage firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, endpoint protection, and other security solutions.
  • Stay updated with the latest cyber threats, attack vectors, and industry trends.
  • Provide security awareness training to employees.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
  • Proven experience in cybersecurity, network security, or information security roles.
  • Strong knowledge of firewalls, IDS/IPS, SIEM tools, VPN, and endpoint security solutions.
  • Experience with risk assessment, penetration testing, and vulnerability management.
  • Familiarity with regulatory standards like ISO 27001, NIST, GDPR, PCI-DSS, HIPAA (as applicable).
  • Proficiency in scripting/programming (Python, PowerShell, etc.) is a plus.
  • Relevant certifications preferred (e.g., CEH, CISSP, CISM, CompTIA Security+, OSCP).

  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure during security incidents.
  • Proactive approach to identifying and mitigating risks.

Job Type: Permanent
