Role Overview

We are seeking a creative Video Editor with strong storytelling skills to join our team full-time. The ideal candidate can turn raw footage and ideas into engaging, narrative-driven content that resonates with our audience. You should be proficient with editing tools, familiar with AI technologies, and also capable of handling basic graphic design tasks.

Key Responsibilities

  • Edit and produce story-driven videos (reels, shorts, and long-form) for platforms like Instagram, YouTube, LinkedIn, etc.
  • Craft engaging hooks, flow, and narrative in videos to hold audience attention.
  • Use AI tools to streamline video creation, captions, voiceovers, or repurposing content.
  • Collaborate with the content team to understand the message and build emotional, informative storytelling around immigration topics.
  • Design visual assets (thumbnails, graphics, animations) to support video storytelling.
  • Ensure all content is on-brand, accurate, and delivered on time.
  • Manage revisions effectively and track turnaround time for updated versions.
  • Maintain organized project files and a content library.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a video editor with storytelling-focused portfolio.
  • Proficiency in editing software (Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, Final Cut Pro, or similar).
  • Knowledge of AI-based editing and content tools.
  • Intermediate English (written & spoken) for communication and understanding briefs.
  • Strong graphic design skills (Photoshop, Illustrator, Canva, or similar).
  • Excellent time management and communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Creativity, attention to detail, and a passion for creating content that connects with audiences.

Preferred Skills (Nice to Have)

  • Background in content for education, consulting, or professional services.
  • Experience with motion graphics and animation.
  • Understanding of social media storytelling trends (hooks, pacing, captions, emotion).
