Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented VTL Machine Operator to operate Vertical Turret Lathes to produce precision metal parts. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in machine setup, tool changes, and quality inspections, with a strong focus on safety and productivity.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate and monitor VTL (Vertical Turret Lathe) machines to perform turning, facing, boring, and other operations on large workpieces.
  • Set up machines including tooling, work holding, and part alignment according to engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Load / unload parts using cranes or lifting equipment as required.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and engineering specifications.
  • Inspect finished parts using measuring tools (callipers, micrometres, gauges) to ensure they meet quality standards.
  • Perform routine maintenance on machines and report malfunctions or irregularities to maintenance or supervisors.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.
