Analytics and Information Management (AIM)
Citi AIM was established in 2003 and is located across multiple cities in India – Bengaluru, Chennai, Pune and Gurgaon. It is a global community that objectively connects and analyzes information, to create actionable intelligence for our business leaders. It identifies fact-based opportunities for revenue growth in partnership with the businesses. The function balances customer needs, business strategy, and profit objectives using best in class and relevant analytic methodologies.
What do we do?
The US Personal Banking Analytics team provides Analytics, Modeling, Reporting and Business Insights solutions to help the business Plan, Understand, Monitor/ Size the impact of various business strategies, campaigns and portfolio actions.
The team helps the business take strategic decisions based on lots of data exploration, thorough understanding of business needs backed by structured thinking.
Few notables among the multiple areas that we work in:
- Cutting Edge Data, Analytical, Modelling Tools and Platforms – Build, Setup and adopt cutting edge technologies and technology platforms to improve analysts' efficiency, time to market and controls.
- Business critical Dashboards: self-explanatory and detailed dashboards to review the portfolio health with the business leaders with analytical backing of particular trends of interest
- Assessing Campaign Impacts: Understand the campaign setup and through data exploration get the actual campaign performance in terms of P&L. Using the data put together a solution to optimize the marketing spends based on campaign performance.
- Opportunity sizing: Help the business with sizing the impact of various regulatory / market / business / strategic changes to the portfolio
- Process Efficiency: Periodically review existing process and identify potential ways to streamline the process
- Business Intelligence Tools: Deploy existing reports to other advanced reporting platforms

Key Responsibilities
- Client-Centric Analytical Project Execution:
- Client Obsession: Support client-centric analytic solutions to business problems, adopting a holistic view of multiple businesses to develop effective analytical strategies.
Analytic Project Execution: Work on supporting complex analytic projects, requiring an understanding of business context and implementing such solutions to create economic value.
Strategic Cross-Functional Collaboration & Thought Leadership:
- Support collaborative engagement and knowledge sharing between project stakeholders, internal analytics teams (within USPBA ATI teams), LOB teams to ensure alignment on project deliverables and timelines.
- Managing dependencies between different project components and establishing a single point of contact for stakeholders.
Responsibilities also include coordinating requirements and tracking progress on infrastructure-related deliverables. A key example would be coordinating data aspects across teams.
Stakeholder Engagement & Communication:
- Proactively share project updates, risks, and issues with stakeholders, fostering open collaboration and building strong relationships.
- Ensure stakeholder needs are met throughout the project lifecycle through effective engagement, managing expectations and addressing concerns promptly.
Possess excellent communication skills and diplomacy to coordinate effectively with senior business leaders, delivering high-class presentations to articulate thoughts, solutions, or problems for business stakeholders and senior management.
Project Management & Oversight:
- Possess the skillset to support projects, including creating project plans and ensuring appropriate communication throughout the project lifecycle.
- Identify and manage dependencies between different project components and teams, supporting creation of mitigation plans for potential roadblocks and ensuring smooth execution with proactive problem-solving.
- Track project progress against milestones and deadlines, preparing regular status reports for stakeholders, highlighting key achievements, risks, and issues, and utilizing project management tools to monitor progress and ensure transparency.
- Coordinate across sub-teams to ensure timely and quality reporting to management on project progress, consolidating information and ensuring consistent messaging.
Identify and assess potential project risks, developing mitigation strategies and escalating issues as needed.
Process Improvement & Requirement Management:
- Identify opportunities to improve project delivery processes and workflows, recommending and implementing changes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
Collaboratively gather and document project requirements, ensuring clarity and alignment with business objectives.
Meeting Facilitation & Organizational Contribution:
- Facilitate project meetings, ensuring effective collaboration and decision-making, and documenting meeting minutes and action items.
- Contribute to broader organizational initiatives in wide-ranging areas including competency development, training, and organizational building activities.
Qualifications
- Education:
- Master's / bachelor's degree in business administration, Information Systems, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related quantitative field.
- Experience:
- 3-5 years of experience in business analysis, data analytics, or project coordination, preferably within the financial services industry.
- Experience working on large and complex initiatives and analytical solutions.
- Understanding of financials/ P&L metrics.
- Preferably exposure to latest technology platforms in AI/ GenAI.
- Skills:
- Technical Proficiency:
- Experience in intuitive visualization techniques.
- Understanding and Analysis of Large Datasets is desired.
- Analytical Skills:
- Strong understanding of analytics concepts and methodologies.
- Proficiency in basic statistics.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Project Management Acumen:
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
- Proficiency in project management tools and methodologies.
- Communication & Interpersonal Skills:
- Excellent collaboration, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills.
- High-level communication and presentation skills, capable of coordinating with senior business leaders and delivering high-class presentations.
- Strategic & Proactive Thinking:
- Proactive and results-oriented with demonstrated thought leadership abilities.
- Experience working with cross-functional teams.
