At SignSetu, we are dedicated to transforming Deaf education through our innovative web application. Our mission is to create an engaging and accessible learning platform that empowers Deaf learners and promotes their educational growth. As an Operations Intern, you will play a crucial role in implementing SignSetu in partner Deaf schools in Hyderabad, ensuring smooth adoption, gathering valuable insights, and building strong relationships with educators and students to bring our vision to life.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Visit assigned Deaf schools daily (for a few hours) to support implementation and training.
  • Coordinate closely with teachers and students to ensure smooth usage of the SignSetu platform.
  • Assist teachers in training students on how to use the platform effectively.
  • Maintain strong, positive relationships with school staff and students.
  • Collect, organize, and maintain data related to platform usage and student progress.
  • Record feedback, key observations, and share them regularly with the SignSetu team.
  • Track improvements or challenges and escalate promptly to the team for action.
  • Support the team in measuring the social impact of our work.

Requirements:

  • Passion for creating social impact and improving accessibility in education.
  • Excellent communication and coordination skills.
  • Empathy and patience when working with the Deaf community.
  • Ability to work independently and manage daily school visits.
  • Good Excel skills for data tracking and reporting
  • Able to commute every day to the Deaf school.
  • Immediate availability to join.
  • Communicate in English.
  • Prior experience in education, operations, or social impact projects (preferred but not mandatory).

This is a paid internship position with a duration of 3 months, starting immediately this week in Hyderabad. The internship offers valuable hands-on experience in operations, school coordination, and community engagement within a dynamic startup environment. You will have the opportunity to work directly with Deaf schools in Hyderabad and play an active role in improving Deaf education.
