A Factory Manager oversees the entire production operations of the factory, ensuring efficient workflow, quality output, cost control, and smooth coordination between departments. The role involves managing staff, maintaining machinery, ensuring safety compliance, and achieving production targets.
Key Responsibilities1. Production Management
- Plan, organize, and oversee daily production activities.
- Ensure production targets and deadlines are met.
- Monitor production processes and implement improvements for efficiency.
- Manage resource allocation (manpower, materials, machines).
2. Quality Control
- Ensure all products meet required quality standards.
- Coordinate with the Quality team to implement inspections and corrective actions.
- Minimize defects, rework, and waste.
3. Staff Management
- Supervise and lead factory staff, including supervisors, operators, and workers.
- Conduct training and skill development of employees.
- Manage attendance, discipline, and shift planning.
- Ensure a safe and positive working environment.
4. Maintenance & Machinery
- Monitor machine health, breakdowns, and preventive maintenance schedules.
- Coordinate with maintenance teams for timely repairs.
- Ensure continuous production with minimum downtime.
5. Safety & Compliance
- Enforce safety rules, PPE usage, and workplace regulations.
- Conduct regular safety audits and training sessions.
- Ensure compliance with statutory and company policies.
6. Inventory & Materials
- Oversee raw material availability, consumption, and stock control.
- Coordinate with the procurement and store departments.
- Reduce material wastage and control production costs.
- 7. Reporting & Coordination
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly production reports.
- Coordinate with management, sales, and logistics teams.
- Participate in planning meetings and suggest process improvements.
- Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree / Diploma in Mechanical, Production, or Industrial Engineering.
- 5–10 years of experience in manufacturing/production field.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Knowledge of production planning, quality control, and process improvement.
- Understanding of ISO standards, safety norms, and factory compliance.
- Ability to analyze data and prepare reports.
- AGE minimum 50 years
