Hotel Sonar Bangla Group is seeking a highly experienced and proactive Chief Electrical Engineer to lead and manage all electrical operations across our hotels and resorts. The ideal candidate will ensure uninterrupted power supply, efficient system performance, and strict compliance with safety standards while supporting ongoing expansions, renovations, and new projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the complete operation and maintenance of electrical systems including HT/LT panels, DG sets, transformers, UPS, and lighting systems.
  • Plan and execute preventative and reactive maintenance schedules to minimize downtime.
  • Manage energy consumption and implement power-saving strategies to reduce operational costs.
  • Supervise installation, testing, and commissioning of new electrical systems for hotel and resort projects.
  • Coordinate with contractors, consultants, and suppliers for repairs, upgrades, and procurement.
  • Lead and train the electrical maintenance team and ensure adherence to best practices.
  • Ensure compliance with all electrical safety regulations and statutory requirements.
  • Prepare technical reports, budgets, BOQs, and maintenance documentation.
  • Provide support for banquet halls, guestrooms, kitchens, landscaping lighting, and outdoor installations.
  • Conduct regular audits and risk assessments of existing electrical systems.

Requirements

  • B.Tech in Electrical Engineering
  • Minimum 8–12 years of experience in electrical systems management, preferably in hotels, resorts, malls, or large commercial buildings
  • Strong knowledge of HT/LT systems, power backup systems, AMC management, and electrical safety norms
  • Experience leading a technical team and handling large-scale properties
  • Ability to troubleshoot complex electrical issues quickly and efficiently

Preferred Skills

  • Experience in hospitality or resort environments
  • Knowledge of energy-efficient systems and green building practices
  • Strong leadership, communication, and planning skills
  • Ability to work across multiple locations in West Bengal
