Role Summary:The Ward Helper is responsible for assisting staff and Doctors and ensuring basic patient care, cleanliness, and smooth ward operations. The role requires compassion, discipline, and dedication to support both patients and medical staff.

  • Key Responsibilities:Assist patients with daily activities such as feeding, bathing, dressing, and mobility.
  • Support nursing staff in maintaining hygiene and safety in the ward.
  • Transport patients within the hospital/center (e.g., from ward to diagnostic departments).
  • Change bed sheets, clean patient areas, and maintain overall ward cleanliness.
  • Ensure safe disposal of biomedical waste as per Clinic guidelines.
  • Carry and deliver medical supplies, equipment, and patient records as instructed.
  • Provide comfort and emotional support to patients and their families.
  • Follow infection control procedures and safety protocols strictly.
  • Report patient needs and observations to the nursing staff promptly.
  • Qualifications & Requirements:Minimum 8th / 10th standard education (preferred).
  • Previous experience as a ward helper/hospital attendant will be an advantage.
  • Basic knowledge of hygiene and patient care.
  • Physically fit to handle lifting and movement of patients.
  • Good communication skills and a caring attitude.
  • Work Conditions:Shift-based duty, including weekends and holidays.
  • Physically demanding role requiring standing, walking, and patient handling.
