About the Role:
We are looking for a highly skilled
Electrical Panel Design Engineer
with strong expertise in
sheet metal enclosure design
,
electrical schematics
, and
panel layout engineering
. The ideal candidate will be proficient in
Autodesk Inventor
and have a solid understanding of
industrial control systems
for automation and special purpose machines (SPMs).

You will be responsible for designing and developing electrical panels from concept to production, ensuring quality, functionality, and compliance with industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design
    electrical control panels
    and
    sheet metal enclosures
    using
    Autodesk Inventor
    and other CAD tools.
  • Prepare
    electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and BOMs
    .
  • Coordinate with mechanical, PLC, and production teams for design integration.
  • Select appropriate
    electrical components
    (contactors, relays, breakers, drives, etc.) based on system requirements.
  • Ensure designs comply with
    IEC and safety standards
    .
  • Optimize panel layouts for ease of assembly, maintenance, and wiring efficiency.
  • Conduct design reviews and support fabrication & assembly teams.
  • Prepare detailed
    manufacturing and assembly drawings
    .
  • Support electrical testing, troubleshooting, and documentation.

Technical Skills Required:

  • Strong hands-on experience in
    Autodesk Inventor
    (mandatory).
  • Good understanding of
    sheet metal design
    and fabrication principles.
  • Proficient in
    electrical schematic design software
    (e.g., AutoCAD Electrical, EPLAN, or similar).
  • Familiarity with
    industrial control systems
    ,
    power distribution
    , and
    panel wiring
    .
  • Knowledge of
    SPM / Automation panel design
    preferred.
  • Understanding of
    cable routing, earthing, and labeling standards
    .
  • Ability to interpret
    electrical drawings, single-line diagrams (SLDs)
    , and
    control logic
    .

Qualifications:

  • Diploma / B.E / B.Tech
    in Electrical, Electronics, or Mechatronics Engineering.
  • Minimum
    4 years of experience
    in
    electrical panel design and sheet metal layout
    .
  • Experience working in
    industrial automation or machinery
    environments preferred.

Preferred:

  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent coordination with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects independently.
