1. Library Management & Organization

2. Maintain systematic cataloguing, classification, and indexing of books, journals, e-resources, and other learning materials.

3. Ensure proper shelving and easy accessibility of resources.

4. Oversee issue, return, and renewal of library materials through manual/automated systems.

5. Collection Development

6. Identify, procure, and maintain updated learning resources (print and digital).

7. Regularly review outdated/damaged materials and recommend replacements.

8. Coordinate with faculty/staff/students for resource requirements.

9. Digital & Technology Integration

10. Manage e-library, online databases, and digital resources.

11. Ensure smooth functioning of library management software.

12. Support users with digital literacy and resource access.

13. User Services & Support

14. Assist students, staff, and faculty in locating and using resources.

15. Conduct orientation programs and library usage workshops.

16. Provide reference and research support.

17. Policy & Compliance

18. Implement library policies, procedures, and rules.

19. Maintain records of acquisitions, stock verification, and usage reports.

20. Ensure compliance with copyright and licensing laws.

21. Administration & Reporting

22. Prepare monthly/annual library usage and resource reports.

23. Manage library budget, vendor coordination, and procurement processes.

24. Supervise library staff/assistants (if applicable).

25. Engagement & Development

26. Organize book exhibitions, reading sessions, and awareness programs.

27. Encourage reading habits and research culture among users.
28. Stay updated with new trends in library science and resource management.
