Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior Integration Architect to define, design, and govern integration solutions across our enterprise ecosystem. This role is responsible for shaping the integration strategy, establishing best practices, and architecting scalable, secure, and resilient solutions using leading iPaaS platforms (e.g., Boomi, IBM webMethods, MuleSoft, , or similar). The ideal candidate will blend technical expertise with strong leadership, guiding teams to deliver modern, API-driven, and event-enabled integration capabilities that connect cloud, hybrid, and on-premise applications.

Responsibilities

• Define enterprise integration strategy and architecture, ensuring alignment with business objectives and technology standards.
• Architect and design integration solutions leveraging iPaaS platforms for both rapid low-code/no-code use cases and complex, enterprise-grade integrations.
• Establish integration governance, frameworks, and reusable patterns to promote consistency, scalability, and reusability.
• Design API-first architectures and implement API management solutions, including gateways, security, and lifecycle management.
• Drive adoption of event-driven and real-time integration patterns (Kafka, JMS, Pub/Sub, or equivalent).
• Collaborate with application owners, solution architects, and business stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable integration designs.
• Oversee performance, monitoring, and optimization of integrations to ensure resilience and operational excellence.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to integration developers and engineers, fostering best practices and knowledge sharing.
• Partner with security, infrastructure, and compliance teams to ensure integrations adhere to enterprise governance and regulatory requirements.

To ensure you are set up for success, you will bring the following skillset & experience:

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• Proven experience in integration architecture with one or more leading iPaaS platforms (Boomi, IBM webMethods, MuleSoft, , Workato, etc.).
• Strong knowledge of API management, design, and governance frameworks.
• Deep understanding of enterprise integration patterns, orchestration, and error-handling strategies.
• Hands-on experience with event-driven architectures, messaging systems (Kafka, JMS, Pub/Sub), and real-time integrations.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and hybrid integration models.
• Knowledge of security standards (OAuth2, JWT, SAML, TLS) and compliance best practices.
• Proficiency in at least one programming or scripting language (Java, Python, JavaScript, Groovy preferred).
• Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

• Exposure to DevOps practices (CI/CD pipelines, Git, Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes) in the context of integration delivery.
• Certifications in iPaaS platforms (Boomi, MuleSoft, or equivalent), cloud architecture (AWS, Azure, GCP), or TOGAF.
• Prior experience leading large-scale digital transformation or modernization initiatives.

At BMC we believe in pay transparency and have set the midpoint of the salary band for this role at 4,542,800 INR. Actual salaries depend on a wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training, licensure, and certifications; and other business and organizational needs.

The salary listed is just one component of BMC's employee compensation package. Other rewards may include a variable plan and country specific benefits.
