Application Engineer I

Job Description
Position Overview:
Regal Rexnord is seeking an experienced application Engineer with a mechanical engineering background to support application related work i.e offering best possible solution to the customer in timely manner with emphasis on linear motion products. Person will be main contact point to the customer in case of technical support and also works closely with manufacturing and outside suppliers to provide viable and efficient solutions.

Major Responsibilities:

• Review and analysis of customer's technical specifications and applications to provide product selection with necessary options and accessories.
• Develop technical specification and Provide quotation for linear motion products (Ball screws, Screw Jack, lead screw etc).
• Provide technical support to Sales, Marketing, Customer Service, account executives and customers.
• Provide solutions to technical questions and advise with regards to the products.
• Product Interchanges: Provide the optimum technical alternative for competitors' products or

products that are no longer active in our own portfolio.

• Capable to communicate with customers at all levels.
• Determine feasibility of design modifications for non-standard Configurations.
• Coordinate large project inquiries and quotations, which may include a multitude of Regal Rexnord products
• Interact with cross functional teams in the company in obtaining information for quotations.
• Assist in training field representatives and new employees.
• Maintain performance metrics, corrective and preventive actions

Required Education / Experience / Skills:

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from a reputed college with good academic record.
• 2 to 5 years of experience in designing any industrial products like ballscrews, screwjacks, linear actuators, valves, couplings, bearings, gearboxes, pumps, clutches, brakes, material handling equipment or machine tools.
• Ability to review and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Proficient in creating drawings and models using any of the CAD software like SolidWorks, Solid Edge, AutoCAD, Creo, or Inventor.
• Experience in using any ERP and PLM will be an added advantage.
• Exposure to Industry standards such as ANSI/DIN/AGMA/API/ISO etc will be an added advantage.
• Solid Knowledge of GD&T, drafting standards.
• Self-motivated, capable of working with minimal supervision and with sense of urgency.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office package (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
• Proficient in verbal, written communication and presentation skills.
• Good Analytical Skills, Decision Making, Critical Thinking
• Good planning and execution skills
• Strong interpersonal skill, Team player & collaboration skills.

Travel:
Regional or global, less than 10%.

Language:
Primarily English. Other Indian, European or Asian languages could be beneficial to work with people from those regions on any of the projects.
