Job Details

Purpose:
To manage structural design and detailing of structural frames, pipe racks, skids, standalone support activities during bid phase or detailed engineering phase through effective coordination, consultation, and communication with structural engineer, projects, procurement, and engineering teams in Pune and Australia.

To ensure that plant designs are efficient, fit-for-purpose, delivered on time and according to agreed Project budgets, specifications, and schedules.

Responsibilities:
  • Design, modelling and detailing of steel beams and columns.
  • Detailing of various connections used for structural joints - welded, bolted, rivetted, moment connection, shear connection, splice details etc.
  • Detailing of bracing and trusses.
  • Review of drawings such as frame, pipe racks, standalone pipe supports done by third-party drafting agency.
  • Detailing of combination of sections e.g. back-to-back channel, Box section, Pipe sections, square tube etc.
  • Resolve site/shop related issues arising from structural drawing.
Education:
  • ITI in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
Experience:
  • 8-12 years experience in the field of Structure drafting, 3D modelling and design e.g. Pipe rack, Skid Frames, Support etc. for water and/or wastewater treatment plants.
  • Sound knowledge and experience of Structural detailing.
  • Hands-on experience working with AutoCAD 3D, preferably Advance Steel software, for all types of structural drawings e.g. Skid frames, Pipe racks, Standalone supports etc.
  • Knowledge of various software used for detailing steel structure e.g. Advance steel; Tekla will be an added advantage.
  • Familiar with various steel sections of IS, ASTM and AUS standards.
