A radiologist is a medical doctor specializing in the interpretation of medical imagessuch as X-rays, CT scans, MRIs, and ultrasoundsto diagnose and treat a variety of illnesses, injuries, and other conditions. Key duties include reviewing imaging scans, providing detailed diagnostic reports to other doctors, consulting on patient treatment plans, and performing interventional procedures under image guidance. Key Responsibilities

• Image interpretation: Reviewing scans obtained by radiology technologists using various modalities.
• Diagnostic reporting: Writing detailed reports that explain the findings from medical images to other physicians.
• Consultation: Collaborating with other healthcare professionals to develop effective patient treatment plans.
• Interventional procedures: Performing minimally invasive treatments guided by medical imaging, such as biopsies or catheter placements.
• Radiation safety: Applying their expertise to ensure the safe and proper use of imaging equipment, many of which use radiation.
