Job Overview:

We're seeking passionate Academic Mentors to join our team, contributing to student growth and educational excellence. As an Academic Mentor at Vedantu, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring students achieve optimal learning outcomes. This position combines educational expertise with administrative capabilities to assess student progress, implement interventions, and analyze data to enhance overall learning ef ectiveness. Reporting to the Academic Manager, you will work closely with students and educators to foster an environment conducive to academic success. You need to have passion, ability & a proactive approach to make a difference.

Key Responsibilities:

❖ Conduct daily in-person home visits to assigned students within Chennai (intra-city).

❖ Deliver one-on-one mentoring sessions, academic support, and performance tracking.

❖ Build rapport with students and parents to ensure a strong learning relationship.

❖ Collaborate with Vedantu's central academic and operations teams for feedback and updates.

❖ Maintain accurate records of student progress and attendance.

❖ Conduct one-on-one or small group online sessions with students according to their learning needs and preferences.

❖ Deliver interactive and engaging instruction across Subjects.

❖ Utilize a variety of teaching strategies, techniques, and resources to facilitate understanding and retention of concepts.

❖ Provide timely and constructive feedback to students to help them improve their skills and achieve academic success.

❖ Monitor student progress and adjust teaching methods as needed to ensure continuous improvement.

❖ Foster a supportive and positive learning environment that encourages student participation, curiosity, and confidence.

❖ Communicate regularly with students and parents to discuss progress, address concerns, and provide updates on learning objectives.

❖ Stay updated on educational trends, curriculum changes, and best practices in online teaching to enhance teaching effectiveness.

❖ Collaborate with other educators and support staff to share ideas, resources, and strategies for improving student outcomes.

Qualifications:

❖ Master's degree preferred.

❖ Expertise in any subject (Chemistry) at the JEE & NEET levels.

❖ Previous experience in teaching, tutoring, or mentoring students, preferably in an online learning environment. Strong knowledge and expertise in one or more subjects taught in the K-12 curriculum.

❖ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and motivate students effectively.

❖ Tech-savvy with proficiency in using online teaching platforms, digital tools, and multimedia resources.

❖ Adaptability and flexibility to work with diverse student populations and accommodate varying learning needs.

❖ Passion for education and a commitment to helping students succeed academically and reach their full potential.

❖ Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

❖ Fluency in English is required. Proficiency in other languages is a plus.

❖ Teaching certification or credentials is a plus.

● Strong communication and interpersonal skills: To collaborate with students, Academic Managers, and other stakeholders, and to clearly convey complex information

● Empathy & Patience: Possessing empathy towards students' working with a diverse set of students. Understanding their struggles and have the patience to guide them through their academic journey

● Problem-Solving Abilities: To identify challenges students face in achieving learning outcomes and devise creative solutions to address them

● Ability to work with data analysis tools: To generate comprehensive reports to identify trends, areas for improvement, and effective interventions.

● Data Analysis & Administrative Skills: Proficiency in analyzing student performance data to identify trends, areas for improvement, and effective interventions

● Technology familiarity: Familiarity with educational technology tools and platforms used for teaching, learning, and data analysis. Knowledge proficiency in use of excel for data crunching an added advantage

● Adaptability and Flexibility: Willingness to adapt to changing educational needs and flexibility to adjust strategies based on student feedback and outcomes.

● Self motivated with ownership mindset: Intrinsic drive to excel and continuously seek opportunities to enhance student outcomes without constant supervision. While also taking responsibility for student progress and being accountable for their success, independently seeking ways to improve it.

● Result-Driven Mindset: Focusing on outcomes and taking steps to achieve them without consistent reminders or external pressure

● Resourcefulness & Continuous improvement mindset: Proactively seeking feedback, reflecting on one's performance, and initiating personal growth without external prompting. Seeking out resources, tools, or information necessary for student support and implementing solutions without being directed

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Up to ₹500,000.00 per year
