Safety Officer

Job Summary

We are hiring an experienced Safety Officer with 5 to 8 years of experience in civil construction safety, specifically in high-rise building projects. The candidate will be responsible for implementing site safety standards, conducting inspections, and ensuring compliance with all statutory and project safety requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Implement and monitor safety policies, procedures, and guidelines at the construction site.
• Conduct daily site inspections and identify unsafe acts, hazards, and high-risk activities.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations for high-rise works such as formwork, scaffolding, lifting operations, faade works, and working at heights.
• Conduct toolbox talks, safety awareness sessions, and training for workers.
• Prepare and maintain safety documents including permits, checklists, and incident reports.
• Ensure proper usage of PPE by all workforce.
• Coordinate with site engineers, subcontractors, and management on safety issues.
• Investigate accidents, near-misses, and implement corrective actions.
• Monitor emergency preparedness, evacuation planning, and rescue procedures for high-rise activities.
• Maintain statutory compliance as per safety norms and audit requirements.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 5 to 8 years of experience in civil construction safety.
• Mandatory experience in high-rise building projects.
• Strong knowledge of risk assessment, safety procedures, and legal compliance.
• Good communication and reporting skills.
• Ability to manage workforce and ensure strict safety discipline.

Education & Certifications

• Diploma / B.E in Civil or relevant field (preferred).
• Safety certifications such as NEBOSH / IOSH / Diploma in Safety
