Job Summary: The role of an Infrastructure Project Manager is critical in ensuring the successful planning and execution of infrastructure projects that support the organization's overall goals.

Job Responsibilities:

  1. Project Planning and Initiation:

  2. Lead the planning and initiation phase of infrastructure projects, defining project scope, objectives, and deliverables.

  3. Develop detailed project plans, timelines, and resource requirements.

  4. Stakeholder Engagement:

  5. Identify and engage with project stakeholders, including internal teams, vendors, and executives.

  6. Establish and maintain effective communication channels with stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.

  7. Resource Management:

  8. Coordinate with resource managers to allocate and manage project resources effectively.

  9. Ensure that the project team has the necessary skills and expertise to meet project objectives.

  10. Budget Management:

  11. Develop and manage project budgets, tracking expenses and ensuring adherence to financial constraints.

  12. Provide regular budget updates to project sponsors and leadership.

  13. Risk Management:

  14. Identify, assess, and manage project risks. Develop mitigation plans to address potential issues.

  15. Proactively communicate risks to stakeholders and implement risk management strategies.

  16. Project Execution:

  17. Oversee the day-to-day execution of infrastructure projects, ensuring adherence to project plans and timelines.

  18. Monitor project progress and address any deviations from the plan promptly.

  19. Quality Assurance:

  20. Establish and enforce quality standards for project deliverables.

  21. Conduct regular quality reviews and inspections to ensure compliance with specifications.

  22. Change Management:

  23. Implement change management processes to handle project changes effectively.

  24. Assess the impact of changes on project scope, schedule, and budget.

  25. Vendor Management:

  26. Collaborate with vendors and third-party service providers.

  27. Manage vendor relationships, contracts, and service level agreements (SLAs).

  28. Communication and Reporting:

  29. Communicate project status, milestones, and issues to stakeholders through regular status reports and meetings.

  30. Prepare and present project updates to project sponsors and leadership.

  31. Documentation:

  32. Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including project plans, risk registers, and status reports.

  33. Ensure that project documentation is accurate and up-to-date.

  34. Collaboration with Technical Teams:

  35. Work closely with technical teams to understand and address technical requirements.

  36. Facilitate effective communication between technical teams and project stakeholders.

  37. Closure and Evaluation:

  38. Ensure proper project closure, including documentation of lessons learned and completion of post-implementation reviews.

  39. Gather feedback from project team members and stakeholders to improve future project management processes.
