We are seeking an experienced Data Modelling Specialist to lead the design and implementation of comprehensive data models that bridge the gap between business processes and data architecture.

The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in conceptual, logical, and physical data modelling, along with the ability to understand business needs and translate them into robust data requirements.

This role is crucial in ensuring data integrity, consistency, and accessibility across the organization to drive informed decision-making.

Responsibilities-

• Develop and Maintain Data Models: Design conceptual, logical, and physical data models based on business processes and data requirements.
• Collaborate with Stakeholders: Partner with business, analytics, and data engineering teams to establish a shared understanding of data structures and relationships.
• Ensure Data Integrity and Quality: Implement best practices in data modelling to maintain high-quality data, optimize storage, and ensure data consistency.
• Support Data-Driven Decisions: Build scalable data models that empower analytics and business teams with actionable insights and performance metrics.

Technical Skills

• Proficiency in data modelling tools such as Erwin Data Modeler, SqlDBM, or similar.
• Strong understanding of database design principles across SQL and NoSQL environments.
• Experience with data warehousing solutions and ETL processes.
• Knowledge of data modelling approaches like Kimball, Inmon, Data Vault, One Big Table (OBT), and BEAM.
• Familiarity with cloud-based data platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform).
• Minimum 8 years of experience in data modelling, data architecture, or a related field.

Problem-Solving Skills

• Strong analytical and strategic thinking abilities to address complex data challenges.
• Capability to determine the optimal modelling approach based on scenario and business context.

Business Acumen

• Proven ability to translate complex business processes into comprehensive, scalable data models.

Preferred Skills & Qualifications

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills — able to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Certifications in data management or data architecture (e.g., DAMA, CDMP).
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, or a related field; a Master's degree is a plus.
