Symagine is inviting applications from suitable candidates for the position of "Research Associate - history, culture and tradition of Bengali food".

Job responsibilities:

Undertaking research in the area of "Culture of food, gastronomic tradition and related socio-economic aspects". The primary focus of the research will be on Bengal with sources of influence from other areas. Research needs to be based on available literature and primary information collection through interviews, as necessary. The outcome of the research needs to be documented following academic practices.

Young and energetic candidate with ability and Interest in the following areas should apply:

· Interest in the area of history, culture and tradition of Bengali food.

· Designing research/study.

· Undertaking extensive literature review.

· Conducting interviews.

· Analysis of socio-economic data.

· Report writing.

Qualification:

· Masters in History, Literature or social sciences.

· Candidate must have excellent knowledge of written and spoken Bengali & English language.

· Ability to work from Kolkata as well as to travel for the purpose of research.

Experience:

· Minimum 2-3 years of relevant research experience needed.

· Remuneration: Rs. 25000/-

· Full time.

· Remote work not applicable.

· Contract is limited to 6 months with the option of extension afterwards.

Pay: From ₹25,000.00 per month
