Job Summary:

We are hiring a
Senior Database Engineer
with strong expertise in
MongoDB
and hands-on experience in managing NoSQL and SQL database environments. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of database administration, performance tuning, and scripting, along with the ability to support production systems.

Must-Have Skills:

  • 7+ years
    of overall experience in database engineering, administration, and support.
  • 4+ years of hands-on experience
    with
    MongoDB
    and
    MariaDB
    in production environments.
  • Exposure to
    PostgreSQL
    or other
    NoSQL
    databases with working knowledge of MongoDB is acceptable.
  • Proven experience in
    MongoDB cluster deployment, maintenance, upgrades, and performance tuning
    .
  • Strong understanding of the
    SQL and NoSQL landscape
    and related technologies.
  • Solid experience with
    Linux systems
    and
    network maintenance
    .
  • Proficiency in scripting using
    Perl, Python
    , or
    Shell scripting
    .
  • Strong
    SQL development
    and optimization skills.

Good-to-Have Skills:

  • Working knowledge or hands-on experience with
    Elasticsearch
    and
    Redis
    is a plus.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administer and maintain production MongoDB environments.
  • Monitor database performance and implement tuning and optimization strategies.
  • Ensure high availability and disaster recovery plans are in place for database systems.
  • Collaborate with development and DevOps teams to integrate and scale database solutions.
  • Automate routine tasks using scripting tools and improve operational efficiency.
  • Evaluate and implement new database technologies as needed.
