ob Title: API Inspector – Oil & Gas

Key Responsibilities:

Experience inspection of piping, pressure vessels, tanks, valves, pipelines, and static equipment as per applicable API codes (e.g., API 510, API 570, API 653).

Prepare and implement inspection plans, schedules, and checklists for routine and shutdown inspections.

Experience in non-destructive testing (NDT) and review results for defects or anomalies.

Ensure compliance with ASME, API, ASTM, ASNT, and local regulatory standards.

Maintain inspection documentation, reports, and equipment certification records.

Coordinate with operations, maintenance, and engineering teams to recommend repairs, replacements, or modifications.

Witness pressure tests, weld inspections, and post-repair verifications.

Support Risk-Based Inspection (RBI) assessments and integrity management programs.

Ensure adherence to HSE (Health, Safety & Environment) guidelines during inspection activities.

Participate in root cause failure analysis (RCFA) for equipment failures.

Qualifications & Certifications:

Diploma/Degree in Mechanical Engineering (or related discipline).

Minimum 5–8 years of inspection experience in Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, or Refinery industry.

Valid certifications in:

API 510 – Pressure Vessel Inspector

API 570 – Piping Inspector

API 653 – Tank Inspector

NDT Level II certification in RT, UT, MT, PT (as per ASNT/ISO standards).

Strong knowledge of welding inspection, metallurgy, and material standards.

Skills & Competencies:

In-depth knowledge of API, ASME, ASTM, and other international codes.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, P&IDs, and isometrics.

Proficiency in preparing detailed inspection reports.

Effective communication and coordination skills with multi-disciplinary teams.

High commitment to safety, quality, and reliability.
