Job Description:

  • Achieve daily production targets in line with company objectives and KPIs, such as product cost, yield, rejection rate, OEE, MTBF, and MTTR.
  • Implement and uphold Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and quality standards, ensuring compliance with ISO/TS, QMS, OSHAS, SOP, PI, Control Plan, FMEA, and OEM requirements.
  • Lead and manage a diverse production team, including direct supervision, training, mentoring, performance evaluation, and ensuring high motivation and discipline among plant employees and office staff.
  • Control and optimize quality systems, initiating and monitoring quality control and tracking programs to consistently meet quality objectives.
  • Analyze production and quality challenges, identify root causes, and drive effective solutions to improve process reliability and product quality.
  • Drive process improvements by collaborating with cross-functional teams (IED, Engineering, Procurement, Quality Control, Supervisors) to enhance efficiency, reduce downtimes, and optimize resource utilization.
  • Practice TPM (Total Productive Maintenance), specifically JH (Autonomous Maintenance, Step 7), and oversee preparation and execution of preventive maintenance (PM) schedules, breakdown maintenance, and repair budgets.
  • Promote and implement Lean Manufacturing methodologies, such as Kaizen, SGA, Quality Circles, Six Sigma tools (value stream mapping, Poka Yoke, SMED, Kanban, Gemba walk), and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Manage labor relations adeptly, including handling unionized and permanent workmen, ensuring compliance and harmonious industrial relations.
  • Ensure safety and compliance, implementing strict safety measures, conducting inspections for unsafe acts and conditions, and reporting/mitigating near-miss incidents for risk reduction.
  • Prepare and maintain production management information system (MIS) reports and documentation to support data-driven decision-making.
  • Develop and implement production norms and productivity standards, and instill a multi-tasking culture among workmen.
  • Coordinate efficiently with PPC, Procurement, Engineering, Quality, and HR to ensure smooth operations and timely achievement of organizational goals.
