A leading financial services company is looking for a knowledgeable Senior Associate Project Accounting to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the financial management of projects from inception to completion, ensuring that all financial aspects align with the project objectives. You will be tasked with preparing project budgets, tracking expenditures, and generating reports to provide visibility to both the project managers and senior management.

Your expertise in accounting principles and project financial management will enable you to assist in identifying cost-saving opportunities and improving overall project efficiency. You will collaborate with various teams to ensure accurate financial forecasting and reporting, making you a key player in our project finance team.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and manage project budgets, ensuring alignment with project timelines and objectives.
  • Monitor project expenditures and provide accurate financial reporting to project managers and stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with project teams to ensure accurate and timely financial forecasting and variance analysis.
  • Identify and resolve any discrepancies in project financials, ensuring compliance with accounting standards.
  • Assist in the preparation of project-related financial statements and reports.
  • Support audits and financial reviews related to project accounting activities.
  • Maintain detailed records and documentation for all project financial transactions.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in project accounting or a similar financial role.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
  • Proficiency in financial software and tools, with excellent Excel skills.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills to interact with stakeholders and provide insightful financial analysis.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
