Pediatrician Consultant

The Pediatric Consultant is responsible for providing specialist medical care to infants, children, and adolescents. This includes diagnosing and treating a wide range of pediatric conditions, leading clinical teams, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, evidence-based care, and supporting the development and training of junior medical staff.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide expert clinical assessment, diagnosis, and management of pediatric patients.
- Lead pediatric inpatient and outpatient services, including emergency consultations when required.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams (nurses, allied health professionals, and other specialists) to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Supervise, mentor, and train junior doctors, residents, and medical students.
- Participate in ward rounds, clinics, case discussions, and departmental meetings.
- Ensure adherence to clinical governance, patient safety, and infection control protocols.
- Engage in audit, research, and quality improvement activities.
- Contribute to the development of clinical guidelines and protocols.
