Open Positions – Android/Linux Engineers (4+ Years Experience)

Introduction:

We are expanding our engineering team capacity and are looking for
experienced Android/Linux professionals
across multiple domains including
AOSP, Camera, BSP, and Power Management
. These roles involve challenging development and debugging work on core Android framework and Linux subsystems.

We have multiple open positions (4+ years experience) in the following areas:

1. Android AOSP Engineer (4+ Years)

Responsibilities:

• Develop and customize Android AOSP framework and system services for infotainment systems.
• Debug and resolve issues at the Android framework and HAL (Hardware Abstraction Layer) levels.
• Work with telematics features and ensure seamless device–cloud communication.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate new Android framework components into infotainment systems.
• Implement and maintain modem communication (AT commands, power management).
• Manage builds and source code repositories using GIT and configuration management tools.

Required Skills:

• Strong knowledge of
  Android AOSP framework, system services, and HAL development
  .
• Good understanding of Android boot-up sequence, system processes (AMS, PMS, WMS), and Binder IPC.
• Experience in
  customizing Android framework components
  for telematics/infotainment.
• Solid debugging skills with hands-on experience in
  C, C++, and Java
  .
• Working experience in
  Linux/Android build environments
  .
• Experience in
  device–cloud communication and telematics feature development
  .
• Familiarity with
  AT commands
  and modem power management.
• Proficiency with
  GIT tools
  and configuration management.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Desirable Skills:

• Understanding of modem wireless communication specifications.
• Exposure to Android Automotive OS (AAOS) would be an added advantage.

2. Android & Linux Camera Stack/Driver Expert (4+ Years)

Responsibilities:

• Develop and optimize camera HAL, drivers, and middleware for Android/Linux platforms.
• Work on image capture, streaming, and multimedia frameworks.
• Debug and enhance performance across different camera hardware.
• Collaborate with hardware vendors and integrators for camera feature enablement.

Required Skills:

• Strong knowledge of Android Camera HAL (Camera1, Camera2 APIs).
• Experience with Linux V4L2 framework and camera driver development.
• Hands-on experience with ISP tuning, image pipelines, and multimedia frameworks.
• Proficiency in C/C++, debugging kernel and user-space camera issues.
• Knowledge of performance tuning and power optimization for camera subsystems.

3. Android & Linux BSP Expert (4+ Years)

Responsibilities:

• Develop, integrate, and maintain Board Support Packages (BSP) for Android/Linux systems.
• Customize bootloaders, kernel configurations, and device tree for target hardware.
• Work on hardware bring-up, low-level driver development, and system integration.
• Debug and resolve hardware-software interaction issues.

Required Skills:

• Strong expertise in Linux kernel, bootloaders (U-Boot), and device drivers.
• Hands-on experience with Android/Linux BSP customization and integration.
• Experience with device trees, kernel patches, and hardware bring-up.
• Strong debugging skills using JTAG, GDB, and serial consoles.
• Proficiency in C/C++ and embedded Linux development.

4. Android Power Module Expert (4+ Years)

Responsibilities:

• Develop and optimize power management modules in Android/Linux.
• Work on suspend/resume cycles, thermal management, and battery optimization.
• Debug and analyze system power consumption using profiling tools.
• Collaborate with hardware teams to optimize power usage across subsystems.

Required Skills:

• Strong understanding of Android Power HAL, kernel power management, and wakelocks.
• Experience with suspend/resume debugging, DVFS, and thermal frameworks.
• Proficiency with Linux kernel power management (cpuidle, cpufreq, regulator framework).
• Familiarity with profiling tools (systrace, perf, powertop, etc.).
• Hands-on development with C, C++, and low-level Android internals.

General Requirements (for all roles):

• Minimum 4 years of experience in respective domains.
• Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams.
• Proficiency with GIT and configuration management tools.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
