The Job

As part of the delivery team, your primary role would be to interface with clients for quality assurance, issue resolution, and ensuring high customer satisfaction. You will be a key contributor in maintaining and enhancing mainframe systems, driving digital transformation, and delivering high-performance solutions in the z/OS technology domain.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and execute z/OS upgrades, toleration maintenance, and system patching
  • Install, configure, and maintain third-party mainframe products
  • Manage and optimize GDPS and Sysplex environments for high availability and disaster recovery
  • Develop automation tools and scripts using REXX programming
  • Understand client requirements, review system designs, and validate architecture
  • Participate in project estimation, solution delivery planning, and technical risk assessments
  • Conduct code reviews, unit test plan reviews, and ensure high-quality deliverables
  • Apply ITIL best practices in incident, problem, and change management
  • Provide support and troubleshooting for VTAM and TCP/IP networking components
  • Collaborate with teams to ensure adherence to organizational processes and continual knowledge management
  • Contribute to building efficient systems and help clients navigate their digital transformation journey

Your Profile

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Mainframe Experience: Minimum 5 years in z/OS System Programming
  • System Maintenance: z/OS Upgrade, Toleration Maintenance
  • Product Management: Third-party product installation & maintenance
  • High Availability Systems: GDPS, Sysplex
  • Programming: REXX
  • Process Framework: Strong ITIL knowledge
  • Networking (Preferred): VTAM, TCP/IP
