Accountant

We're looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Chartered Accountant (CA) to join our team in Fort, Mumbai.

Key Responsibilities

1. Financial Accounting & Reporting

• Assist with preparation of monthly and annual financial statements as per Ind AS / IFRS.
• Support in journal entries, ledger review, expense booking, and finalization schedules.
• Help in accounting for brokerage income, investment returns, trading-related expenses, and operational revenue.
• Prepare cash flow summaries, periodic MIS reports, and support financial analysis.

2. Regulatory Compliance

• Assist in preparing reports for SEBI, RBI, MCA, Exchanges (NSE/BSE), and internal compliance purposes.
• Support statutory audits, internal audits, tax audits, and system audits with required documentation.
• Maintain regulatory records, compliance checklists, and timely submissions.

3. Taxation (Direct & Indirect)

• Assist in GST calculations, returns, input reconciliations, and compliance work.
• Support TDS filings, advance tax workings, and basic income tax computations.
• Learn and support tax treatment of stock market transactions and capital gains.

4. Reconciliation & Internal Controls

• Perform daily and periodic reconciliations for bank accounts, broker accounts, DP accounts, and financial statements.
• Identify inconsistencies and coordinate with internal teams for resolution.
• Support strengthening of internal controls, risk processes, and audit requirements.

5. MIS, Reporting & Financial Analysis

• Prepare MIS reports on revenue, expenses, profitability, investment performance, and market-related activities.
• Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
• Support management with data-driven insights on finance and market trends.

• Fully qualified Chartered Accountants (CA) — Freshers are welcome.

Required Skills

• Strong fundamentals in accounting, auditing, and finance.
• Basic understanding of stock markets, securities, and investment products (preferred but not mandatory).
• Proficiency in MS Excel (pivot tables, formulas).
• Knowledge of Tally/SAP/ERP systems is an added advantage.
