Backend Engineer

At Mindera, we are building a fantastic team, and we would love for you to join us as a Backend Engineer specializing in Stibo STEP and Product Information Management (PIM). In this role, you will be responsible for enhancing and maintaining our systems that provide a centralized solution for storing and managing product data. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that our products deliver comprehensive and accurate information.

Our technology stack includes Salesforce Commerce Cloud, Stibo STEP PIM, and Java backend services, and we are seeking a skilled PIM Engineer to manage product data and integrations at scale.

Role Overview:

We are looking for a PIM Engineer with hands-on experience in Stibo STEP and Java backend development. You will be responsible for managing and enhancing our product information management system, building robust integrations, and ensuring high-quality, consistent product data across all channels.

Key Responsibilities:

• Configure, maintain, and optimize the Stibo STEP PIM platform.
• Develop Java-based backend services to integrate PIM with ERP, e-commerce platforms, and other enterprise systems.
• Design and implement data workflows, pipelines, and APIs for product data ingestion, validation, and export.
• Ensure data integrity, accuracy, and completeness across all channels.
• Collaborate with product teams, data stewards, and e-commerce engineers to resolve PIM-related issues.
• Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and optimize integration and automation processes.
• Document integration flows, data models, and best practices for PIM operations and development.
• Support onboarding, mentoring, and knowledge sharing within the engineering and product teams.

Skills & Qualifications:

• Strong Java backend development experience (Spring Boot or similar frameworks).
• Hands-on experience with Stibo STEP PIM (product data management, workflows, integrations).
• Familiarity with REST/SOAP APIs, microservices, and system integration patterns.
• Knowledge of data governance, validation rules, and ETL pipelines.
• Experience in CI/CD, automation, and DevOps practices is a plus.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex integrations.
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills.

• Knowledge of data modeling techniques and product data governance.
• Experience in working within Agile methodologies.
• Familiarity with web technologies and frontend programming.
