Senior Software Engineer, AI/ML, Platforms and Devices

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 5 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages.
• 3 years of experience in testing, maintaining, or launching software products, and 1 year of experience with software design and architecture.
• 3 years of experience with one or more of the following: Speech/audio (e.g., technology duplicating and responding to the human voice), reinforcement learning (e.g., selection making), Machine Learning (ML) infrastructure, or specialization in a ML related field.
• 3 years of experience with ML infrastructure (e.g., model deployment, model evaluation, data processing, debugging).

• Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or a related technical field.
• 5 years of experience with data structures/algorithms.
• 1 year of experience in a technical leadership role.
• Experience in machine learning, deep learning, and Artificial Intelligence (AI) development, with building and deploying production-level models.
• Ability to work with distributed teams including product managers, researchers and other stakeholders, across multiple time zones to drive Artificial Intelligence (AI) adoption and integration.
• Experience in collaborating with product teams, understanding their goals and working in partnership to make them a reality through AI solutions.

In this role, you will work on projects and products with a path to launch and ensure deployment of Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies within them. You will have the opportunity to work across many Platforms and Devices products and deliver AI-powered experiences to the world. You will work with the Mountain View based Engagements team, joining forces to deliver impact launches for Platforms and Devices.The Platforms and Devices team encompasses Google's various computing software platforms across environments (desktop, mobile, applications), as well as our first party devices and services that combine the best of Google AI, software, and hardware. Teams across this area research, design, and develop new technologies to make our user's interaction with computing faster and more seamless, building innovative experiences for our users around the world.

• Develop, train, evaluate, and deploy Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning (AI/ML) models, ensuring their integration into production systems.
• Collaborate with Platforms and Devices product teams and research teams to deliver AI-based features.
• Identify common needs across multiple engagements and build shared infrastructure and models which will serve as a common toolset and blueprints to deliver the engagements.
• Transfer AI knowledge and expertise to the Platforms and Devices product teams with empowering them for future AI-motivated initiatives.
• Work with the Mountain View-based team, manage partnerships with Platforms and Devices product teams to maximize efficiency and impact.
