About the Role
Wardwizard Innovations & Mobility Ltd. is seeking a dedicated and proactive EHS Specialist to lead initiatives that ensure environmental protection, occupational health, and workplace safety across our manufacturing operations. The role will focus on compliance with statutory regulations, continuous improvement of safety systems, and promoting a strong EHS culture within the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and monitor EHS management systems and programs in line with statutory and corporate requirements.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate potential risks or hazards related to plant operations, equipment, and employee activities.
- Conduct regular EHS inspections, audits, and risk assessments (HIRAC/HAZOP) to ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Investigate incidents, accidents, and near misses; prepare detailed reports, root cause analyses, and recommend corrective/preventive actions.
- Deliver EHS training programs for employees and contractors to promote awareness and safe work practices.
- Maintain accurate documentation and records as per internal and statutory (Factory Act, GPCB, OSHA) requirements.
- Coordinate emergency preparedness and response activities including drills, mock exercises, and first aid readiness.
- Support the Plant Head and management team in ensuring compliance with local, state, and national safety and environmental regulations.
- Develop and maintain waste management, pollution control, and energy conservation initiatives.
- Liaise with external agencies, auditors, and government authorities during inspections and audits.
- Continuously evaluate EHS performance data and implement improvement plans to enhance workplace safety culture.
Required Qualifications & Experience
- Education:
- Diploma or Degree in Industrial Safety (PDIS or ADIS mandatory).
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Science, or related field preferred.
- Experience:
- 5 to 8 years of relevant experience in EHS within a manufacturing or automobile industry environment.
- Skills & Knowledge:
- Strong understanding of EHS regulations, Factory Act, and environmental compliance norms.
- Expertise in Risk Assessment, Hazard Identification, Accident Investigation, and Safety Audits.
- Familiarity with OHSAS 18001 / ISO 45001, ISO 14001 standards.
- Excellent communication, reporting, and training skills.
- Hands-on experience with work permit systems, PPE management, and emergency response planning.
