Summary of the role:

The Senior Manager is expected to provide strategic direction, lead, and manage different engagements of MSC in the area of technology policy and innovation covering digital public infrastructure (DPI), regulatory sandboxes, open-source AI, etc. The Senior Manager will broadly work at the intersection of technology, public policy, strategy, innovation, and social impact.

The Senior Manager will work closely with the government and private sector stakeholders in India and outside and also work on HealthTech, AgTech, and FinTech domains.

Detailed Responsibilities

Business Execution

• Lead and manage consulting engagements on technology policy and innovation, especially on digital public infrastructure (DPI) in India and outside. This may include –
• Client handling and project management
• Understanding the problem and key requirements, conducting in-depth issue analysis, framing the practical recommendations, and presenting the same to the client and relevant stakeholders
• Providing hand-holding support on the implementation of technology policy and innovation initiatives such as setting up and running of Innovation Labs, Hackathons, etc. by clients and other stakeholders
• Manage the team of Senior Analysts, Analysts, and Associates as required for engagement delivery
• Develop high-quality notes, presentations, and reports as required in the different consulting engagements
• Attend the client and official meetings in India and outside
• Represent CRT and MSC at different workshops, conferences, and events in India and outside

Business Development

• Identify potential business development opportunities by staying informed about industry trends, market dynamics, and emerging requirements of the clients
• Engage with different donors and other stakeholders for creating the concept notes and proposals for new engagements
• Take a lead role in developing high-quality pitch decks, concept notes, and proposals to be submitted to potential clients and other stakeholders
• Lead the development of thought leadership and knowledge products which may include whitepapers, policy briefs, and blogs, etc.
• Plan and lead the digital campaigns including webinars on different focus areas of the MSC

Professional Development

• Provide mentorship to Senior Analysts, Analysts, and Associates to develop required skill-sets for delivery of various consulting engagements
• Develop and take relevant courses and training to develop/ deepen expertise and enhance skill-set on digital public infrastructure, artificial intelligence, innovation, sandbox, etc.
• Proactively contribute to team-building and provide and seek timely feedback from the team members

Qualifications and Competencies:

Academic/ professional qualifications:

• Bachelors of Engineering in Computer Science / Information Systems/ Electronics and Communication (Preferred)
• Master's in Business Administration, Public Policy, Law (Preferred)
• Other relevant professional qualifications in technology policy and innovation

Experience:

• 10-15 years of experience working in the area of management consulting, government advisory, technology policy, and innovation management
• Have experience working with a consulting firm or think-tank working at the intersection of technology and public policy or institutions working on digital governance
• A good understanding of digital public infrastructure and artificial intelligence is preferred
