A Restaurant Maintenance Incharge oversees all upkeep, from daily checks and minor repairs (HVAC, kitchen gear, plumbing) to managing schedules, staff, vendors, and inventory, ensuring facility safety, hygiene, and peak operational condition, focusing on preventive maintenance to keep the restaurant running smoothly and efficiently. Key Responsibilities:

  • Facility Operations: Conduct daily/weekly inspections; identify & resolve issues; manage preventive maintenance plans (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, kitchen equipment).
  • Team & Vendor Management: Supervise maintenance staff, schedule tasks, train, conduct performance reviews; coordinate with and manage outside contractors/vendors.
  • Health & Safety: Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and food safety (GMP) regulations; maintain safe work environments; keep accurate H&S records.
  • Inventory & Budget: Manage maintenance supplies, tools, and equipment inventory; assist in budget preparation and cost control.
  • Reporting & Administration: Maintain detailed maintenance logs, report on activities, manage purchase orders, and communicate needs to senior management.

Essential Skills & Qualifications:

  • Experience in property/facility maintenance, preferably in hospitality.
  • Strong technical knowledge (plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry).
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure, delegate, and manage time effectively.
  • Leadership qualities and a proactive, "bias for action" mindset.
