Role Description

• Market and Valuation Risk Management (MVRM) provides an independent view of market risks and valuation to Deutsche Bank's senior management. Market risk team manages Deutsche Bank's Market Risk position in an independent and neutral way.
• The Market Risk Analysis and Control (MRAC) function is responsible for the provision of all official market risk metrics and core analysis in support of risk management decision making, on behalf of the Market Risk Management department.
• The team has a global presence with staff located in London, New York, Berlin, Singapore, Mumbai and Pune. The team operates a business/asset class and risk metric aligned organizational matrix supported by central functions. The role is with the Production Enhancement team which is one of the central function teams responsible to execute projects and productionize processes on behalf of MRAC.
• The team is also proficient in combining this risk knowledge with best-in-class automation and visualization skills including python/Tableau to provide value added analytical outputs to its stakeholders. You will be expected to be proficient in automation tools with sufficient knowledge of risk to enhance the output of the team.

Your key responsibilities

• Execute bank wide strategic change projects for Market Risk function that involves migration of risk & pnl valuation platforms (Economic Capital/VaR migrations) or regulatory projects (FRTB IMA implementation)
• Design and implement production processes for market risk metrics undergoing change by ensuring correct risk validation and controls in place. Collaborate with technology team to ensure "Straight Through Processing" (STP) and maximum automation of process and reporting.
• Provide analytical support to Risk Managers/Methodology to facilitate risk management / business decisions.
• Liaising with Market risk managers, FO quant and Methodology to perform deep dives on data challenges in new market risk models/methodology changes/RNIV and implementation of new regulations such as FRTB and IHC examination
• Contribute to methodological enhancements, including model monitoring. Applying experience and subject matter expertise to perform run-the-bank tasks such as VaR impact and continuous improvement of processes and controls.

Your skills and experience

• Educated to Bachelor's degree level or equivalent qualification/work experience.
• 2-3 years' experience in Market Risk within the Financial Market / Investment Banking industry (other relevant backgrounds e.g. Trading, Product Control, IPV will also be considered)
• In depth understanding of Market Risk measurement techniques e.g., VaR, ES
• Good product knowledge of derivatives and pricing in at least one asset class – Equity, Credit, Rates, FX, Commodities.
• Excellent communication skills; ability to articulate technical and financial topics with global stakeholders.
• A reliable team player with the motivation to work in a dynamic, international and diverse environment. Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work across multi-functional teams in a collaborative way as well as experience in dealing with senior stakeholders.
• Experience of working on Agile framework and JIRA management.
• Able to multi-task and deliver under tight deadlines.

• Certification such as FRM or CFA is preferred.
