About Snapmint:

Snapmint is on a mission of democratising no/low-cost instalment purchases for next 200 Mn Indians. Of the 300 million credit eligible consumers in India, less than 30 Mn actively use credit cards. Snapmint is reinventing credit for the next 200 Mn consumers by providing them freedom to buy what they want and pay for them in instalments without a credit card. In a short period of time Snapmint has reached over a million consumers in 2200 cities and has powered over 2000 crores worth of purchases. Snapmint was started by a closely-knit team of passionate bankers and technocrats from IIT Bombay.

Leadership:

Nalin Agrawal, Anil Gelra, and Abhineet Sawa are IIT Bombay alumni and serial entrepreneurs. Their success stories include – Oyo, Ola, Holachef, Inrea and Sodel Solutions. Since 2008, the focus has been on solving big data problems, "real-time" predictive technologies and algorithms primarily Ad-tech, Consumer Marketing and Media and growing eCommerce brands.

Sanjeev comes with a very in-depth knowledge of consumer tech and is adept in scaling the systems. He is currently heading the Engineering team at Snapmint and looking forward to scale the tech for the next 100M consumers.

Job Overview: ( SDE - II/III Backend)

As an SDE- II/III Backend, you will drive the development of scalable, reliable, and performant systems. You will work closely with product management, front-end engineers, and other cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions while ensuring alignment with the company's technical and business goals.

Key Responsibilities:

● Own and drive the design and architecture of complex backend systems

● Mentor junior engineers (SDE-1/2)

● Identify technical debt and drive long-term engineering improvements

● Make architecture-level decisions with cross-team impact

● Ensure system scalability, reliability, and security at scale

● Collaborate with stakeholders (product, infra, business) to align technical goals

● Conduct deep design and code reviews, and enforce standards

Requirements:

● Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience). ● 4-8+ years of experience in backend development with a proven track record of leading engineering teams.

● Strong experience with backend language ie.

● Experience working with databases (SQL, NoSQL), caching systems, and RESTful APIs.

● Bachelor's degree in Engineering (BE/BTech) or related technical field

● Hands-on experience designing and scaling backend services and APIs

● Proven ability to own large systems end-to-end with minimal oversight
