About the Role:

We are looking for a Quality Control Manager to oversee and implement quality assurance processes in our woodworking factory. The ideal candidate will have experience in woodworking, furniture manufacturing, and finishing techniques to ensure products meet our high standards of craftsmanship, sustainability, and durability.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and enforce quality control standards for raw materials, production processes, and finished products.
  • Inspect incoming wood, veneers, adhesives, finishes, and other raw materials for defects.
  • Monitor each stage of production to ensure precision, consistency, and compliance with design specifications.
  • Establish inspection procedures to check product dimensions, joinery, finishing, and durability.
  • Identify defects and implement corrective actions to reduce rework and wastage.
  • Train workers on best practices for quality assurance and craftsmanship.
  • Ensure compliance with environmental and safety regulations related to woodworking.
  • Maintain detailed reports on quality audits, defects, and improvements.
  • Collaborate with the design and production teams to enhance product quality and innovation.
  • Work towards reducing production costs while maintaining high-quality standards.

Key Skills & Qualifications

  • Education: Diploma/Degree in Wood Technology, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related fields
  • Strong knowledge of wood properties, joinery techniques, and finishing
  • Experience with CNC machines, hand tools, and woodworking machinery
  • Familiarity with quality assurance frameworks
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Strong leadership and training abilities
  • Knowledge of sustainable and ethical woodworking practices

Preferred Experience:

  • 3-5 years Experience working in a furniture manufacturing unit
  • Familiarity with export quality standards
  • Understanding of environmentally friendly production processes.
