Backend Engineer

About The Role:

We're looking for a Backend Software Engineer with strong proficiency in PHP and good working knowledge of MySQL to join our development team. In this role, you'll collaborate closely with frontend developers and coordinate with UI and UX designers to build and maintain scalable, high-performing websites and applications. You will develop backend systems, maintain existing codebases, design databases, and create APIs to enable seamless integration with frontend components.

Job Responsibilities:

• Write clean, efficient, and maintainable PHP code to ensure high-quality web application performance.

• Design and integrate data storage solutions, including databases, to support dynamic functionality.

• Implement robust security measures to safeguard web applications against vulnerabilities.

• Collaborate effectively with other developers and stakeholders within the team to achieve seamless integration of user-facing components.

• Conduct thorough code reviews and provide constructive feedback to enhance team productivity and code quality.

• Manage project timelines, ensuring deliverables are completed on schedule.

• Optimize web applications for mobile responsiveness and cross-browser compatibility to enhance user experience.

• Provide technical support by identifying and resolving user-reported issues.

• Maintain comprehensive documentation of code, workflows, and best practices.

• Stay informed about the latest trends and advancements in PHP and related technologies to continuously improve development practices.

Requirements:

• 2+ years of experience in Web development.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Strong PHP skills; experience with frameworks like Laravel, Lumen, Symfony. is a plus.
• Full-stack web development experience, including HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Proficient in working with databases (e.g. MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB).
• Familiarity with modern JavaScript frameworks/libraries , React, etc) is a plus.
• Proficiency with version control systems, especially Git.
• Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.
• Understanding of web security best practices.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Time management and project management abilities.
• Continuous learning and adaptability to evolving web technologies.
• Experience with Agile development methodologies is a plus.

We started with an audacious goal of building a world where domain names are less like phone numbers which need to be written and stored and more like brand names which are easily remembered. And here we are, with more than 9 million domains already registered on our extensions, we are well on the path towards revolutionizing the internet. Brands like Mr. Beast ), Viacom ), Emirates ), Doordash ), CES ), Shakira ) and many more have already made the switch. Its only a matter of time before the rest of the world does it too. To sum it up, the internet history is being rewritten and Radix is at the core of it.
