KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

The SEO Specialist will manage all facets of Search Engine Optimization, blending technical expertise with creative content strategy.

Strategy, Local SEO & Research

• Keyword Strategy: Conduct thorough keyword research to identify high-value search terms, analyze search volume, user intent, and competitive landscape, with the primary goal of improving website ranking.

• Local SEO Management: Develop and execute strategies for Local SEO, including optimization and management of Google Business Profiles (GBP) and other local citation sources to improve local visibility and rankings.

• Competitive Analysis: Monitor and analyze competitor SEO strategies and rankings to identify opportunities and content gaps.

Technical SEO & Development Collaboration

• Audits: Conduct regular, in-depth technical SEO audits to identify and resolve issues related to crawlability, indexability, and rendering.

• MERN Stack Optimization: Directly advise and collaborate with the Development team on best practices for our MERN stack (MongoDB, , React, ), ensuring fast loading speeds and optimal server-side rendering (SSR) or pre-rendering to support strong rankings.

• Code Literacy: Ability to read and understand basic JavaScript ) and HTML/CSS to identify and communicate technical SEO issues to developers.

• Site Health: Monitor and improve Core Web Vitals, page speed, and mobile-friendliness.

On-Page & Content Optimization

• On-Page Elements: Optimize website content, including meta titles, meta descriptions, header tags, and images, specifically targeting improved website ranking for target keywords.

• Content Collaboration: Partner with the Content and Editorial teams to align content creation with SEO strategy, ensuring all content is highly optimized and addresses user search intent.

• Internal Linking: Develop and manage an effective internal linking structure to improve site navigation and distribute link equity.

Off-Page SEO & Reporting

• Link Building: Support and execute ethical link-building strategies to increase domain authority and referral traffic, which directly impacts website ranking potential.

• Performance Monitoring: Track, report, and analyze key SEO performance metrics (organic traffic, keyword rankings, conversion rates) using industry-standard tools.

• Data Analysis: Provide clear, actionable insights and recommendations to stakeholders based on performance data and search algorithm updates, with a specific focus on factors driving ranking improvement.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Technical Proficiency: Strong understanding of how (MERN stack) impact website rendering and search engine crawling.

• Code Literacy: Ability to read and understand basic JavaScript ) and HTML/CSS.

• Local SEO Knowledge: Demonstrated experience with Google Business Profile optimization and local citation building.

• Tools: Expertise with major SEO and analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics/GA4, Google Search Console, Ahrefs, SEMrush, Moz, Screaming Frog).

• Analytical Skills: Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions focused on driving organic growth.
