Job Description:
We are looking an experienced and highly skilled Mechanical Head - Operations & Maintenance to oversee the mechanical operations and maintenance activities for our distillery plant at Assam location.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the mechanical integrity, reliability, and performance of all equipment and machinery in the plant.
You will manage a team of engineers and technicians, focusing on preventative and corrective maintenance, continuous improvement, and ensuring the plant runs efficiently and safely.
Qualifications: Diploma / BE in Mechanical or Production Engineering
Experience: Minimum 12 to 15 years of experience in mechanical operations and maintenance in the distillery plant is highly desirable.
Work location: Assam
Age: upto 45yrs
Skills: In-depth knowledge of mechanical systems, including pumps, motors, heat exchangers, distillation units, and refrigeration systems.
Job description:
Oversee all mechanical maintenance activities, including routine, preventive, and emergency maintenance.
Ensure all machinery, including pumps, motors, heat exchangers, compressors, and distillation columns, are in optimal working condition.
Plan, schedule, and coordinate maintenance activities to minimize plant downtime and ensure production targets are met.
Conduct root cause analysis for mechanical failures and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
Monitor and optimize mechanical systems to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance plant performance.
Collaborate with the production team to ensure smooth plant operations and troubleshoot mechanical issues.
Ensure that mechanical systems comply with regulatory standards, safety protocols, and environmental guidelines.
Oversee mechanical projects such as plant upgrades, equipment installations, and system improvements.
Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising plant safety or efficiency.
Maintain accurate maintenance records, including reports of repairs, inspections, and machine performance.
Provide regular reports to senior management on the performance of mechanical systems and any issues affecting operations.
Champion safety culture within the team and ensure all safety protocols are followed in maintenance and operation activities.
Lead, supervise, and train a team of mechanical engineers and technicians.
