Job responsibilities

  • Ensure quality compliance for CNC/VMC machined components and aerospace & defence assemblies.
  • Develop and implement quality inspection plans, SOPs, and work instructions.
  • Perform First Article Inspection (FAI), PPAP documentation, and manage quality reports as per AS9100 standards.
  • Conduct in-process inspection, final inspection, and prepare NCR (Non-Conformance Reports).
  • Handle customer audits, supplier audits, and internal audits effectively.
  • Collaborate with production & design teams to resolve quality-related issues.
  • Maintain calibration records of measuring instruments, gauges, and CMM.
  • Ensure compliance with Aerospace & Defence quality standards (AS9100, ISO 9001:2015, NADCAP exposure preferred).
  • Drive continuous improvement, root cause analysis (RCA), and corrective & preventive action (CAPA).

Key skill required

  • Strong knowledge of CNC machining, VMC operations, and precision manufacturing processes.
  • Hands-on experience with CMM, VMM, Height Gauge, Vernier, and Micrometers.
  • Familiarity with AS9100D / ISO 9001:2015 quality management systems.
  • Exposure to GD&T, aerospace documentation, and traceability requirements.
  • Strong understanding of FAI, PPAP, APQP, and SPC techniques.
  • Ability to handle customer and defence-related quality audits.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills.
  • Knowledge of 5S, Kaizen, Lean manufacturing principles will be an added advantage.

Candidate profile

  • Bachelors degree/Diploma in Mechanical/Production Engineering.
  • 1-2 years of experience in Quality Assurance/Quality Control in precision machining for Aerospace/Defense sector.
  • Detail-oriented with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced startup environment with a focus on innovation and quality.
