About the Role:

We are looking for a dynamic professional to lead data exploration and market research initiatives that drive strategic business insights. The role involves analyzing diverse data sources to identify emerging trends, consumer behaviours, and market opportunities. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to translate data findings into actionable business outcomes. The ideal candidate brings strong analytical expertise, leadership capabilities, and a passion for uncovering meaningful insights through data.

What you'll be doing…

  • Data Exploration & Discovery: Analyze and explore various data sources (internal and external such as social media, e-commerce, food menus) to uncover new patterns and insights; also, ensure data quality and completeness. Own the relationships with multiple data partners.
  • Trend Identification: Identify emerging trends, consumer behavior patterns, and market shifts using advanced analytical techniques and tools.
  • Team Leadership & Management: Manage a diverse team of full-time employees, contractors, and interns - providing guidance, mentorship, and performance feedback to ensure high-quality output and professional growth across all roles.
  • Collaboration with Teams: Work closely with sales, customer success, data scientists, data engineers, product managers, and other stakeholders to define data discovery requirements and ensure alignment with business objectives.
  • Reporting & Documentation: Prepare detailed reports on findings, methodologies, and insights, ensuring that results are well-documented and accessible to stakeholders. Present findings through compelling data visualizations and files.
  • Continuous Improvement: Suggest improvements in data collection processes, data exploration techniques, and analysis methods to enhance the overall quality of insights delivered.

What we're looking for…

  • Experience:
  • 5-10 years of experience in market research with data analysis, data discovery, or business intelligence.
  • AI Product experience will be highly preferred.
  • Technical Skills:
  • Proficiency in SQL and data manipulation tools.
  • Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, or similar) is a plus
  • Familiarity with Python or R for data analysis and exploration is preferred.
  • Understanding of statistical analysis techniques and data modeling.
  • Soft Skills:
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a curiosity-driven mindset.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey complex data insights to non-technical stakeholders.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Market Research, Business Analytics, or a related field.
