Job Purpose/Summary:

The Test Lead is responsible for planning, executing, and overseeing all aspects of software testing to ensure the delivery of high quality products. This leadership role involves defining test strategies, managing test teams, coordinating with cross functional stakeholders (development, product, operations), and continuously improving testing processes and tools

Key Responsibilities:

1.Strategic Test Planning: Ensure that Test strategy is followed across the testing phases and ensure that the quality gates are adhered to across the testing phases.

2.Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and grow a team of test engineers and QA analysts. Allocate tasks, track progress, and manage workload across multiple projects.

3.Test Execution & Oversight : Oversee manual and automated test execution to validate functional and non functional requirements.

4.Project tracking: Track and monitor testing metrics, including test coverage, defect density, and testing progress. Monitor defect life cycles identify, prioritize, and ensure timely resolution. Analyse test metrics (pass/fail rates, defect trends, coverage) and report status to stakeholders.

5.Stakeholder Communication: Communicate testing progress, issues, and outcomes to senior

management and other stakeholders.

6.Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices in testing methodologies. Example : Automation, Performance.

7.Quality Governance & Compliance : Conduct audits, risk assessments, and security reviews as required. Maintain traceability matrices and ensure full coverage of regulatory requirements.
