Requirements

  • Strong Android & Linux kernel stability expertise: Demonstrated in-depth understanding and hands-on experience with Android system internals and the Linux kernel.
  • Exceptional crash analysis and root cause identification skills: Proven ability to analyse complex system crashes, hangs, and bugs, and identify their precise root causes.
  • Strong analytical code understanding: Ability to comprehend and analyse C/C++, Java, and other relevant codebases to pinpoint issues.
  • Android build analysis and understanding: In-depth knowledge of the Android build system, various build configurations, and their impact on stability.
  • Hands-on knowledge of debugging tools (e. g., GDB, system-specific debuggers), profiling tools, and log analysis techniques. Proficiency with Android Debug Bridge (ADB) and logging mechanisms.
  • Experience in analysing ramdumps (essential).
  • Good communication, reporting, and documentation abilities.
  • Extensive experience (5+ years) in Android system stability analysis and root cause identification.
  • Expert-level knowledge of kernel debugging and ramdump analysis.
  • Deep understanding of Android's memory management, process management, and inter-process communication (IPC) mechanisms.
  • Proven ability to lead technical teams, mentor engineers, and drive complex investigations.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
