COSTING SPECIALIST (M/F/D)

YOUR TASKS

• Developing and implementing cost standards and procedures for all products and services.
• Maintaining and updating the costing system and databases, ensuring all cost information is accurate and up-to-date.
• Utilizing advanced proficiency in various software, system applications, and tools to evaluate current business activities and to forecast future operational costs.
• Identifying cost-saving opportunities and suggest more cost-efficient methods or procedures to improve existing processes.
• Performing cost audits to ensure cost data is allocated correctly.
• Providing recommendations to management regarding cost-benefit analysis, margin analysis, and job costing analysis.
• Working closely with project managers to understand project expenditures and ensure all are accurately recorded and reported.

YOUR QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent.
• Proven experience as a Cost Specialist or a similar role in the automotive industry.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite with advanced skills in Excel, and familiarity with ERP and other accounting software.
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret complex financial data.
• Demonstrable knowledge of costing principles and practices.
• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work under pressure, meet strict deadlines and work on multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to explain financial concepts to non-financial staff..
• Professional certification such as CMA (Certified Management Accountant) or similar will be a plus.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically.
• Proven ability to work both independently and collaboratively with different levels of employees and management.
• High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation.
