Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines using Azure Data Factory, Databricks, and related Azure services.
  • Integrate data from various sources (SQL, APIs, Blob Storage, Data Lake, etc.) into a centralized data warehouse or data lake.
  • Build and manage data ingestion, transformation, and orchestration workflows.
  • Optimize ADF pipelines for performance, scalability, and cost efficiency.
  • Collaborate with business and analytics teams to understand data requirements and deliver end-to-end solutions.
  • Implement and manage data quality, monitoring, and error-handling frameworks.
  • Work closely with Azure Synapse, SQL Database, Power BI, and Azure Data Lake Storage (ADLS) for analytical reporting and data visualization.
  • Ensure data governance, security, and compliance standards are maintained.

Required Skills and Experience

  • 6 to 10 years of total IT experience with a strong focus on Azure Data Platform.
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience with Azure Data Factory (ADF) pipelines, data flows, triggers, and integration runtimes.
  • Strong experience with Azure Synapse, Azure SQL Database, and Data Lake Storage Gen2.
  • Good understanding of ETL/ELT design principles and data integration best practices.
  • Proficiency in SQL and stored procedures for data extraction and transformation.
  • Experience with Azure Databricks or PySpark is a plus.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD using Azure DevOps.
  • Knowledge of JSON, REST APIs, and parameterization in ADF.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
